This is a hitoe (not lined) Tsumugi
kimono with 'Genjiguruma'(wheel of royal cart) pattern, which is woven with double ikat technique.
Textile is exquisite Tsumugi
silk and has rather crisp and nubby touch.
The collar is bachi-eri(folded collar).
It has slight discoloration and tiny patinas overall.(A)
Patinas are not so disturbing, but prominent Discoloration can be seen on sleeve tops and around the cuffs.
Stains are tiny, so not noticeable so much.(C)
Hole on the left front panel is small, but rather disturbing.(B)
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Although not shown on the figure, it has a similar small hole like (B) near the left side seam of the back bodice, from the bottom to about 86cm(33.8in).
*Though the photo shows uneven color dyes, the real base color is one color of beige.
If you don't mind discoloration on the sleeve , it is still in very good condition to wear.
Please enjoy its simple and elegant design!
