This is a vintage Nagoya obi
with four seasons flowers on jigami'(piece of paper in the shape of folding fan, umbrella etc.) and 'yukiwa'(snow crystal) pattern, which is dyed on black background.
The fine embroidery works are applied on the pattern for adding extra gorgeousness to it.
Textile is exquisite soft silk.
The pattern is designed up side down to be tied with hikinuki knot style.
It is relatively short for Nagoya Obi.(10'4"/315cm)
There is a seam on the wrong side at the triangle area.
There is slight discoloration throughout.
There are frays on the corners.
There are many stains on the 'otaiko'(square bow) and 'maegara' (front patterned part).
The coming out string(B) was all came out when we pull it. There are very small pinholes now. They are not that noticeable.
For the details, please refer to the photos and sheet.
If you don't mind those flaws, it is still in good condition to wear.
Please enjoy the vintage design!
