The fine embroidery works which were done a stitch by a stitch are three dimensional and beautifully glossy.
The checkerboard pattern background is partially transparent.
The pattern is designed up side down to be tied with hikinuki knot style.
When you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise), the maegara on the right side will show.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), the maegara on the wrong side will show.
There are noticeable discoloration and patinas throughout.(see the 3rd and 5th photos of flaw photos)
There are many noticeable stains on 'otaiko'(square bow) and 'maegara' (front patterned part) areas. (see the 2nd and A, B, C photo of flaw photos)
There are some other flaws such as a tear on the wrong side(see the 11th photo of flaw photos) .

Unfortunately, it may no longer in wearable condition due to those noticeable flaws.
Although it has some flaws due to its age, it is still very elegant design which only vintage items have.
