This is an elegant Fukuro obi
with flower eating bird and 'Housouge'(imaginary Chinese flower) on 'Kiredori'(overlapping fabric scraps) pattern, which is woven.
Foil threads woven in the base and pattern are gracefully shining.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
Its length is rather short. 416cm(13'6")
It is uncompleted.
(The both ends are open and lining is not added inside.)
Patinas on the Tare end and near 'Maegara'(front patterned part) are slight and tiny, so they are not disturbing.
Discoloration of edges (They are indicated as smudge in the figure.) are not noticeable clearly when tied. (refer to the 2nd flaw photo)
It has other flaws such as folding lines and smudges along the lines.

Although it has some flaws, it is still in very good condition to tie.
