This is a vintage Irotomesode
kimono with graceful Nanten pattern, which is dyed elegantly against deep color background.
This piece has colorful ryozuma(mirror image) pattern, which is colorfully dyed. Ryozuma is the typical design of kimono from pre WWII.
Pattern is even on Hakkake 'lower lining' part.
Fine embroidery work is added on parts of the pattern on both front panels.
Textile is silk, and it has soft touch.
Collar is bachi-eri(folded collar).
Sleeves are gracefully long, which is the feature of kimono from pre WWII.
There are five kamon dyed out
Bottom is lightly padded.
Discoloration on sleeve seams, shoulder and sleeve lines, and back seam are prominent. (F)
It has some other flaws, such as stains and tiny holes, as shown on photos.
There are slight whitish stains, 0.5cm(1.95in), near hip area on right side panel. (sorry no photos)
Because of the discoloration, it is unsuitable for wearing, but it still is a very lovely vintage item!
