This is a Nagoya obi
with an elegant design, which is dyed with Shibori technique on the chic background.
'Kiku'(chrysanthemum) and 'sasa'(bamboo grass) on 'matsukawa-bishi'(pine bark hishi) pattern is woven on the background.
Textile is glossy Rinzu silk and has soft touch.
It has a weaving flaw of horizontal stripe, although it's not mentioned on the sheet and picture. It is 2.5cm(0.9in) above from Tare end.
It will be a little bothering by the degrees.
A dyestuff of Maegara( front patterned part) may be disturbing.
However, if you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), it can be hidden.
Stains of wrong side of Maegara are not prominent.
Tare end and Tesaki don't have frays actually.
There are a couple of other flaws.
Please check detail photos.
Also, the fabric of the 'tare'(wide end) might be shrunk.
So that, a little bit of the fabric of the wrong side was pulled and came out to the right side.
However, we hope you enjoy tying this piece!
Please enjoy its lovely fashion!
