This is an elegant summer asa (ramie) Chijimi kimono with 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum) pattern, which is woven.
Its colorful pattern emerges out against the ivory background.
Textile is asa(ramie), and has rather crisp touch.
The collar is bachi-eri(folded collar).
It is hand-sewn.
Shoulder pad of the same fabric is attached, but 'Ishikiate'(square piece of reinforcement cloth) is not attached.
Stain (D) is noticeable but other stains on the left front panel are slight.
Stains are spreading on the both chests but they are slight, so not disturbing. (*not shown about the left chest in the figure)
It has other flaws such as rather noticeable smudges (B) on the both cuffs and rather prominent discoloration on the seams (C).
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
*It smells of mold slightly.
Although it has worn-out and aged feeling, please enjoy this charming piece casually.
*In Japanese, 'asa' includes below three kinds of material. You must feel it strange that 'linen' is included.
'Taima' = Hemp
'Karamushi','Choma' = Ramie
'Ama' = Linen
