This is a graceful Fukuro obi
with letters of four seasons, 'sakura'(cherry blossom) and 'kiku'(chrysanthemum) on 'shikishi'(square paper) pattern, which are woven.
Its gorgeous, yet sophisticated design with splendid gold foil threads is suitable to tie at formal occasions.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
Foil threads on the background are twisted and wrong side of foil threads (glazes are not on.) can be seen on Otaiko and Maegara( front patterned part), although they are small. However, they will be a little bothering when tied. (Sizes are about 3 to 4mm=around 0.1in.)
Also, there are prominent folding lines.
Please check detail photos.
However, we hope you enjoy tying this piece!
Please enjoy its polished fashion!
