This is a vintage Nagoya obi
with a design of fierce white eagle, which is finely embroidered on the vibrant base color.
Textile is glossy Shusu silk and has soft touch.
The obi has one side patterned at the front part when it is tied. When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
Real base color is little more reddish than photos.
Largish stains of Kaikiri line are prominent, but they can be hidden positionally.
Stains of otaiko and Maegara( front patterned part) are not so disturbing, because of the base color.
There are small tears, because of frays on both Tare corners. Also, both Tesaki corners are also frayed, although it is not indicated on the figure.
Please check detail photos.
Discoloration can be seen on white design part, although it's not mentioned on the sheet and picture.
Also, one gold foil thread of otaiko is cut.
However, it still can be tied as a vintage Obi!
Please enjoy its gorgeous embroidered design!
