This is an antique Maru obi
from Meiji period (1868-1912) with fine deer and "Karabana"(imaginary Chinese flower) pattern, which is woven.
The tranquil color tone give tranquil impression.
Textile is exquisite soft silk.
It is relatively short.(13'4"/408cm)
As you see on the sheet, there are loose golden threads at the 'taresaki'(end of wide part).
(*It was marked as a peeling spot on the sheet.)
Although it's not mentioned on the sheet, there is the same kind of the flaw.
There are some other flaws such as frays on the corners.
