This is a vintage summer Maru obi
with elegant bamboo on 'kiredori'(overlapping fabric scraps) pattern, which is boldly woven.
(The right side has bamboo leaf pattern woven with silver threads, and the other side has with gold threads.)
Foil coated threads emerge out against the chic colored background.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
Pattern is placed upside down, which is suitable for Hikinuki knot style.
It has foil peeling spots in places on the wrong side, and especially bothering on otaiko(square bow).(B)

Gold foil threads are cut off partly and has blank.

It has discoloration and tiny patinas in places due to its old ages.
The discoloration and patinas are relatively prominent on the bodice part of the plain area on both sides.
Although not shown on the photo and the sheet, it has relatively prominent smudges on both edges.
