This is a vintage Maru obi
with 'shou-chiku-bai' (auspicious three motifs - pine tree, bamboo and ume blossom), folding screen and phoenix
on cloud pattern, which are woven.
Its staid color has chic atmosphere.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
Its length is rather short. 400cm=13'1".
(Lining is not added inside.)
The otaiko pattern is set upside down, and it's to be tied in 'hikinuki' style.
It has folding lines from Tesaki to Tare end. Loose threads of gold foil threads can be seen in places, although these flaws are not mentioned on the sheet and pictures.
There are frays on overall edges and fabric becomes weak, although it's not mentioned on the sheet and picture.
It has several other flaws.
Please check detail photos.
It can't be tied.
It must be an amazing handicraft material!
