This is a vintage tsume-tsuzure hon-fukuro obi with a design of vibrant colored 'kiri'(paulownia) , which is woven.
It has 'Housouge'(imaginary Chinese flower) and 'onagadori'(long tail bird) circle on 'Shokkou'(octagon and rectangle) pattern on 'Maegara' (front patterned part) .
Its colorful color hue is added gorgeousness.
Textile is exquisite thick silk and has stiff touch.
It also has "HATSURIKOU" (small gap in the boundaries of colors), which is the distinctive feature of Tsume tsuzure
The tare end is closed roughly by individual.
When you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise), Maegara of 'onagadori'(long tail bird) face will show.
The length is rather short. 159.05in(404cm)
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed. It has special kind of comfortable touch of rather thick Tsume tsuzure
It is one of the dyeing technologies of the highest peak where Japan arrived at.
The snag on otaiko(square bow) will be hidden when tied.(refer to the 3rd flaws photo)
Another snag on otaiko(square bow) will be noticeable and can be cut off without problem.
It has some other flaws.
