This is a vintage Maru obi
and 'housouge'(large karabana flower) pattern, which is dyed.
Gold foils are added on main parts.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
The otaiko pattern is set upside down, and it's to be tied in 'hikinuki' style.
Its length is rather short. 396cm=12'11".
Gold foils of the pattern are peeled off and they are remained on hands, if you touch them.
There are several other flaws such as overall discoloration (*It doesn't have flaw photo) and patinas (the 4th flaw photo).
Please check detail photos.
It doesn't have enough strength to tie.
It must be an amazing handicraft material!
