This is a Fukuro obi
with a 'kiku'(chrysanthemum) motif, which is dyed with colorful foils only on Tare end.
'Raden'(design in mother-of-pearl inlay) foil is added on one kiku.
Foiled gradation on the background is glamorously shining.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft and smooth touch.
(Lining is not added inside.)
May be, this piece was tied in unusual knot style.
It has quite slight folding lines on the right side and wrong side overall. (Folding lines are not indicated on the right side on the figure.)
Please check detail photos.
Also, it has small peeling spots, although it's not mentioned on the sheet and picture.
They are 17cm (6.6in) and 23cm (9.0in) above from Tare end. (They look blackish stains just by looking.)
However, they can be hidden, when tied.
*Foils are easy to peel off.
This glamorous piece will brighten up you on the scene for sure!
