This is an antique Maru obi
with traditional pattern such as 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum), 'shou-chiku-bai'(auspicious three motifs - pine tree, bamboo and ume blossom) and 'Kikkou'(hexagon), which is woven elaborately.
The pattern was surprisingly fine and detailed.
Textile is exquisite soft and sleek silk.
Although it's not mentioned on the sheet and photo,
there are missing threads on the loop side due to fray.
Although it doesn't have much sense of use, it doesn't have enough strength of fabric to wear.
There are some other flaws such as loose stitches on the kaikiri lines(end mark line) and sides.
For the details, please refer to the photos and sheet.
Unfortunately, it is no longer in wearable condition.
It must be a good handcraft material.
