This is a casual Tsume-Tsuzure Nagoya obi
with a design of rose and iris on circle, which is woven.
Its colorful design looks lovely on the serene base color.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed.
Textile is thick silk and has rather crisp touch.
The obi has one side patterned at the front part when it is tied.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
It is sewn as "matsuba-shitate" (open Nagoya obi
with tightly folded end of belt part).
It has small patinas on white color threads of otaiko, but they seem not to be so disturbing. (*It doesn't have flaw photo.)
Folding lines are quite slight.
There are several other flaws such as slight smudge on blank part (*the 3rd flaw photo) and patinas (*the 2nd flaw photo).
Please check detail photos.
However, it still can be tied!
This graceful classical piece will add extra elegance to your kimono outfit for sure.
