This is an elegant Tsume-Tsuzure Nagoya obi
with a design of flower cart, which is woven on the vibrant background.
It also has "HATSURIKOU" (small gap in the boundaries of colors), which is the distinctive feature of Tsume tsuzure
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed.
Maegara(front patterned part) is only on one side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
It is sewn as "matsuba-shitate" (open Nagoya obi
with tightly folded end of belt part).
Textile is thick silk and has rather crisp touch.
This piece seems to be untied one.
However, it has couple of flaws such as slight discoloration (Discoloration of maegara( front patterned part) is quite slight.).
Please check detail photos.
This elegant piece will be versatile and will come in use both on formal and casual occasions!
