This is a casual Tsume-Tsuzure Nagoya obi
with a design of 'kiku'(chrysanthemum) on bamboo fence, which is woven.
Gold foil threads of the design are beautifully shining.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed.
Textile is rather thick silk and has crisp touch.
It is sewn as "matsuba-shitate" (open Nagoya obi
with tightly folded end of belt part).
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
It has discoloration overall.
There is a smal stain near of Tare end, but it's not prominent.
Smudges are noticeably remained.
It has folding lines.
Outside of the design is frayed. (A)
There is a light brown stain right above of the otaiko design. (B)
Please check detail photos.
However, if these flaws do not bother you, the Obi could be tied!
Please enjoy its graceful design!
