This is an eye-catchy vintage Nagoya obi
with a bold design of large 'kiku'(chrysanthemum), which is finely embroidered.
Textile is exquisite silk with woven 'shippou-tsunagi'(jointed four circles) pattern and has soft touch.
The obi has one side patterned at the front part when it is tied.
When you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise), Maegara will show.
Tare and Tesaki corners are frayed, although it's not mentioned on the sheet and picture.
A seam can be seen 22cm (8.6in) above from Tare end.
Discoloration can be seen not only otaiko but also maegara( front patterned part).
Stain (A) is prominent, when tied.
There are other couple of flaws.
Please check detail photos.
However, we hope you enjoy this charming vintage design!
