This is a gorgeous Nagoya obi
with a design of 'tanzaku'(strip of paper), butterfly and 'susuki'(Japanese silver grass), which is embroidered and dyed with gold foils.
'Kiku'(chrysanthemum) and camellia are designed on tanzaku.
Gold foil threads woven on the background are gracefully shining.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
It has a stain (A) on one side of maegara( front patterned part) and it will be rather noticeable, when tied.
However, if you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise), it can be hidden.
There are other couple of flaws such as folding lines.
Please check detail photos.
However, it still can be tied!
Please enjoy its graceful fashion!
