This is a vintage Maru obi
with dynamic phoenix
pattern, which is woven on the staid base color.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
Its length is rather short. 398cm=156.6in
The otaiko pattern is set upside down, and it's supposed to be tied in 'hikinuki' style.
(A) is a fray.
It has frays on edges overall and threads of these parts rubbed off, although the flaw is not indicated on the figure. They are noticeable.
There are several other flaws such as folding lines (Actually, they are remained from Tesaki to Tare end.).
Please check detail photos.
It can't be tied.
It must be an amazing handicraft material!
