This is a chic Nagoya obi
with 'ume'(Japanese plum), 'sasa'(bamboo grass) and 'kiku'(chrysanthemum) on earthenware pattern, which are woven.
Foil threads woven on the pattern are gracefully shining.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
Maegara( front patterned part) is on both sides, but if you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), mostly solid.
When you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise), it has pattern.
It has slight whitish stains on blank part (bottom otaiko) and peeling spots of foil threads woven on the maegara are peeled, although it's not mentioned on the sheet and pictures.
There are other couple of flaws such as smudges and folding lines.
Please check detail photos.
However, we hope you enjoy tying this alluring piece!
