This is a luxurious Fukuro obi
with a design of such as onaga-dori (long tailed cock), 'Botan'(peony) and 'Ume' (plum blossom) on 'Tabane-noshi'(bundled paper stripes), which is woven.
The gold foil threads emerge out elegantly against the gentle colored design and perfect for the formal occasions.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
It seems like the original owner of this obi enjoyed many different styles of tying.
So that there are folding lines through out though not indicated. (refer to the 2nd flaws photo)
It has some other flaws such as stains and tiny snags.
