This is a Nagoya obi
with a design of Izumi Shikibu
and 'waka'(Japanese poem), which is dyed.
Maegara( front patterned part) also has dyed waka design.
Textile is sioze silk, and it has soft and smooth touch.
Slight wrinkle can be seen in the center of otaiko pattern part. It seems to have been made in keeping time. (*It is indicated as folding line on the figure.)
Small holes of basting stitches can be seen, although the flaw is not indicated on the figure. (Pinholes of basting stitches are prominently remained on edges of otaiko (above and bottom).) *You can check that by photos.
It doesn't have sense of use, but there are several other flaws such as patinas of white pattern parts.
Please check detail photos.
However, we hope you enjoy tying this graceful piece!
