This is an elegant Houmongi
kimono with 'Karabana' (imaginary flower in China) motifs, which are embroidered with drawn work(one of the technique of removing thread partly to make a ground textile seen through) technique.
Textile is exquisite silk with woven ichimatsu(checkerboard) and narrow stripe pattern, and it has soft and smooth touch.
The collar is hiro-eri (unfolded).
There is an embroidery of 'Suizan Embroidery' on the right front panel.
It has an embroidered kamon(family crest) on the nape.
Beside the relatively prominent wear(A), it has prominent stains around the right sleeve seam.(E)
The stain on the left front panel are prominent. (C)
The snags on the left chest are slightly noticeable.
Though not indicated, it has slight discoloration on outside collar and on the lining.
Prominent discoloration can be seen from the shoulder top to the sleeve top on outside.
