This is an marvelous Fukuro obi
with 'peony' (botan) pattern, which is woven.
The beautiful purple color of the pattern is named Teio-Murasaki, emperor's purple.
Its dyestuff is from secretion of a snail and very valuable.
This color is named and produced by Juraku, one of the most famous Nishijin weavers.
Textile is light silk.
Stitches of wrong side of Tare are unpicked (about 2cm=0.7in) to check the brand name, although the flaw is not indicated on the figure.
Stitches of edge are partly coming loose.
Also, there are folding lines.
