This is a polished Sioze Nagoya obi
with a 'kiri'(paulownia) motif, which is dyed on the tranquil base color.
Textile is sioze silk, and it has soft and smooth touch.
Textile seems to shrink on Tare end. Wrong side comes out on outside slightly.
Dyestuffs are peeled off on flower of one side of maegara( front patterned part) and otaiko, although it's not mentioned on the sheet and picture.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), the flaw can be seen.
Stains of Tare end can be hidden, when tied.
There are other couple of flaws such as slight folding lines.
Please check detail photos.
It has a sense of use, but we hope you enjoy tying this piece casually!
Please enjoy its elegant design!
