This is a vintage black Furisode
with bold Matsu (pine tree), ume 'plum blossom', and 'Kicho'( partition used by noble people in ancient days) pattern, which is dyed colorfully against black background.
Fine embroidery work is added on parts of the pattern on left front panel.
Textile is silk, and it has soft touch.
Collar is hiro-eri (unfolded).
There are five kamons dyed out.
Background is discolored and has patinas due to its old age.
There are also fine stains and reddish dyestuff-like stains on left front panel.
Part of embroideries are also coming off.
Please see photos for details.
Because of the flaws mentioned, it is no longer suitable for wearing formally.
However, it is still a very charming design which only
vintage items have. Enjoy!
