This is an elegant Tsume-Tsuzure Nagoya obi
with 'Housouge'(imaginary Chinese flower) pattern, which is woven on the auspicious bright red background.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed.
It also has "HATSURIKOU" (small gap in the boundaries of colors), which is the distinctive feature of Tsume tsuzure
It is sewn as matsuba-shitate, and belt part is folded tightly.
The sides of 'otaiko'(square bow) part are not closed, which is called "Tunnel tailoring".
'Maegara' (front patterned part) is on one side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
Folding lines remain slightly, but not disturbing foe wearing.
