This is a tsume-tsuzure Nagoya obi
with a design of 'housouge'(large karabana flower) and 'kiku'(chrysanthemum) on jigami'(fan shape), which is woven.
Its colorful design is elegant, yet lovely.
Textile is thick silk and has rather crisp touch.
Maegara(front patterned part) is in one side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
It is sewn as matsuba-shitate, and belt part is folded tightly.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed.
Threads come out on patterned parts. (*It is indicated as snag on the figure.)
It has a dim stain bottom otaiko, but it is not disturbing positionally. (the 1st flaw photo)
There are other flaws such as a prominent stain (A) on wrong side.
Please check detail photos.
Slight smudges can be seen on edges, although it's not mentioned on the sheet and picture.
Also, it has a slight, but spread stain right of the 1st flaw photo stain. Its size is about 6cmx8cm (2.3inx3.1in).
However, they are not disturbing for wearing.
