This is an elegant Houmongi
kimono with a design of 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum) , 'Ume' (plum blossom) and butterfly, which is embroidered on the shibori(tie-dye) dyed stream pattern.
The gold glazing adds elegance to it.
This piece will be enjoyable for a wide generation with its tranquil color.
Textile is exquisite silk with woven 'sayagata' pattern and has soft touch.
Collar is hiro-eri (unfolded).
It has basting stitches and seems just been cleaned.
Though there is no photo and sheet, it has slight discoloration on the outside sleeve seam and on the lining.
