This is a graceful Houmongi
Kimono with arranged yukiwa(snow crystals) design, which is embroidered with fine drawn work technique(one of the technique of removing thread partly to make a ground textile seen through) on the chic colored background.
Classical motifs of 'shokkou-mon'(octagon and rectangle pattern) and phoenix
are also designed elegantly.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
Collar is hiro-eri (unfolded).
It has a kamon(family crest) on the nape.
It has a snag(D) on the embroidered area on the left front.
There are a few prominent brownish stains on the sleeve(B).
Beside smudges, there are some other flaws such as slight discoloration on the douura(upper lining) and stains on the hakkake (lower part of lining).
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
It can be worn on formal occasions to enjoy its exquisite design for ceremonial scenes if you don't mind those stains on the sleeve.
Please enjoy this graceful piece.
