This is a distinctive Fukuro obi
with a design of such as 'Botan'(peony), iris and 'Shokkou'(octagon and rectangle) on 'kiredori'(overlapping fabric scraps), which is dyed and embroidered.
Drawn work(one of the technique of removing thread partly to make a ground textile seen through) and Sagara embroidery work is added gorgeously on the dyed motifs.
Textile is exquisite thin Tsumugi
silk and has soft, yet nubby touch with rusty atmosphere.
The length is rather long. 181.10in(460cm)
It has folding lines, although they are not disturbing for wearing.
