This is an elegant vintage Nagoya obi
with windmill and 'karakusa'(arabesque) pattern, which is embroidered.
The lovely motif is also designed on the back side of otaiko(square bow), so it must be a reversible.
Textile is Shusu silk, and has very soft and sleek touch.
The embroidered threads are missing(A) on the pattern of the tare end and the windmill on the tare which supposed to be in the middle are completely gone, although those are not indicated.
Smudges can be seen on the side of maegara(front pattern), it will not show when you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise).
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
It's still tie-able enough with very good condition if you don't mind those small flaws.
Please enjoy this retro design with vintage kimono!
