This is an elegant vintage Nagoya obi
with 'fundou-tsunagi'(jointed weights), clove, and straw raincoat pattern, which is embroidered.
Colorful embroidered motifs against the chic base is very eye-catchy!
Textile seems to like glossy silk and jinken(rayon) blend, and has soft touch.
Maegara(front patterned part) is in one side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
Smudges can be seen prominently at the sides.
It's also discolored.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
It has fluffing threads on the embroidered area, although it's not indicated on the figure.
Though it has worn-out feeling with ages, it's still tie-able with vintage kimonos to enjoy its classical motif with fine embroidered technique!
