This is an elegant Fukuro obi
with plant drawing by Nakamura Hochu, which is woven.
He is one of the famous painters of Edo period(1603-1867) known as his humorous style.
Raden (design in mother-of-pearl inlay) work is added partly on tare end, otaiko(square bow) and 'Maegara' (front patterned part).
The foil coated thread shows stiff glittering feeling.
Textile is silk, and it has light touch.
It has no flaws and seems to be unworn!
