This is a Meisen
kimono with 'ume'(Japanese plum) and 'shikishi'(square paper) pattern, which is woven.
Its vibrant large pattern is adorable!
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft and smooth touch.
The lapel is bachi-eri(folded lapel).
Cotton lining is added.
Sleeve length is long, which is the feature of kimono from pre WWII.
Basting stitches remain and it seems to be just after cleaning.
It has brown stains on left sleeve part. They are prominent. (C)
Discolorations can be seen on the base color, because of the old age.
There are noticeable streaky discolorations near left arm and near center seam parts. (F and J)
It has other flaws such as loose threads of right arm (G) and rather prominent discolorations of patinas on the lining (H).
