This is a fabulous Houmongi
kimono with elegant seasonal flowers and dramatic royal cart design, which are neatly embroidered on the flowingly designed 'michinaga-dori'(placed curve or polygonal line as the pattern bonded with some different colors and designs) background.
Shibori(tie-dye) technique is used as well.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
Waka(Japanese poem) is woven on the hakkake (lower part of lining) with dyed starlit sky background.
It seems unused without any conspicuous flaws and is in excellent condition.
As the figure shown, it has stain-like flaws on the pattern of the left front.
Those are more likely uneven spot of dyeing than stains.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
It's still wearable enough with very good condition if you don't mind those small flaws.
Please enjoy this sophisticate design.
