This is a fabulous Nagoya obi
with karabana (imaginary Chinese flower) of kawarake( fragments of roof tile) pattern, which are dyed.
It mades of hige-tsumugi silk, whose weft yarns are coming out like 'hige'(beards).
The sticking yarns, together with the slightly waving wefts making a grain-like woven pattern, makes this piece a very unique and tasteful one.
It's soft and has grainy touch.
Stain(1st photo) can be seen on the middle of otaiko(square bow).
It also has slight discoloration.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Please enjoy this tasteful piece casually.
