This is an intriguing Houmongi
kimono with elegant flowers such as kiku(chrysanthemum) design, which are neatly embroidered on the chic ombre dyeing background.
Fine embroidery work is added and emphasizing the details of the pattern.
Textile is exquisite silk with woven higaki(cypress fence) design, and has soft and glossy touch.
The lapel is hiro-eri(wide lapel).
Silk kasane-eri(double collar) is attached.
This item seems to be sewn by Yamato, one of the famous Japanese kimono shops.
It has basting stitches and seems unworn or just been cleaned.
As the figure shown, discoloration(A) can be seen along the creases and end of the lapel.
It also has stains like un-even dyed spot(E) on the back left collar and back right sleeve seam, but not so prominent.
There are a few other flaws such as discoloration on hakkake (lower part of lining).
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
It's still wearable enough as formal with very good condition if you don't mind those small flaws.
Please enjoy this graceful piece elegantly.
