This is an antique stage costume set up called "Suou" for Noh
It has butterfly like design and "Karabana-Karakusa" (imaginary Chinese flower arabesque) throughout, which is dyed with "Katazome"(stencil-dyed) technique.
Textile is hand plied and woven asa (ramie).
So it has special kind of crisp and stiff texture.
It seems to be from mid Meiji period(1868-1912).
It has eight kamon(family crest).
There are some flaws such as small holes and discoloration.

It is in good condition as such an old antique asa (ramie). Enjoy displaying or creating something special out of it.
