This is a susohiki kimono.
Susohiki literally means 'trail the skirt' and it was worn to do the elegant dance with a folding fan in the Japanese style drawing room.
It has traditional royal cart, misu (traditional curtain) and 'shou-chiku-bai' (auspicious three motifs-pine tree, bamboo and ume blossom) in cloud motifs, which are dyed.
Several parts are embroidered on the left front panel, the right front panel and the back side, and they show graceful atmosphere.
Textile is soft and glossy rinzu silk with woven wakamatsu (young pine tree) pattern, which emerges by the degree of light.
Lapel is hiro-eri (wide lapel), and silk han-eri (added collar) is attached.
The bottom is padded, and it is worn with the bottom trailing along the floor.
It has slight discolorations on its base. (B)
There are slight stains on the left front panel, but but they are not so prominent. (D)
Repaired tear is seen on the right arm part.
