This is a classical vintage kimono with 'kicho'( partition used by noble people in ancient days) and seasonal flowers, which are dyed on a vibrant blue background.
'Kiku'(chrysanthemum), pine and kiri (paulownia) are designed, giving it auspicious flavor.
Textile is 'kinsha'(very fine crepe) silk and has soft and comfortable touch.
Lapel is bachieri(folded lapel).
There is a dyed kamon on the nape.
Sleeves are gracefully long, which is the feature of kimono from pre WWII.
There are discolorations and stains due to its age.
Discolorations are prominent especially on folding lines of shoulders and sleeves.
On the back, 25cm (9.8in)-long patinas and discolorations are seen about 55cm (21.6in) up from the bottom of the back.
There are some other flaws such as small stains.
Please check photos and a figure for details.
It would not be wearable on formal occasions.
However please enjoy this beautiful vintage design!
