This is a serene color Nagoya obi
with 'genjiko' (ancient Japanese incense) and 'kusudama'(flower ball) motifs, which are embroidered with vibrant color threads.
Also, genjiko and kusudama pattern is woven on its background.
Textile has soft and glossy touch. (It seems to be silk and jinken (rayon) blend.)
The obi has one side patterned at the front part when it is tied.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
It has rather prominent frays on both tare corners.
Wrong side of maegara( front patterned part) has uneven lines of weaving-like snags (A).
Bodice part has burls and rather prominent stains can be seen on burls. (B)
There is a stamp on wrong side of edge of tare. (C)
It has several other flaws.
Please check detail photos.
