This is a Nagoya obi
with wave design, which is dyed with shibori (tie-dye) technique.
Its deep color design has chic atmosphere on off-white base.
Textile is soft and glossy silk and it has woven matsukawa-bishi (pine bark diamond pattern) pattern on its base.
It has a small prominent stain above on 'otaiko' (square bow part) patterned part, and slight patinas are seen on the tip of the embroidered parts. (A)
Also, there are slight patinas on its base.
Both maegara(front patterned part) sides have couple of rather prominent stains or patinas.

This item seems to be difficult to tie at formal occasions.
It must be wonderful for handicraft material.
