This is a susohiki kimono, which came from a geisha in Kyoto.
Susohiki literally means `trail the skirt' and this particular kimono is much longer than other kimono. This is worn to do the elegant dance with a folding fan in the Japanese style drawing room.
It has 'kiku'(chrysanthemum), 'ume'(Japanese plum) and circle motifs, which are dyed on its katazome-style background.
Its design is very sophisticated and elegant!
The lapel is hiro-eri(wide lapel).
Bodice is added other fabric to make it longer.
'Kasane-eri' (double collar) is added.
It has a kamon. ('Neji-ume'(twisted ume blossom) fabric is sewn.) (E)
Thick cotton is added bottom.
It has rather prominent stains (C) on left front panel and sleeve parts. (C)
There are other flaws such as a reddish stain on collar part (D) and seams (B).
Please check detail photos.
