This is an elegant Nagoya obi
with a design of 'botan' (peony) and flying cranes, which are woven with Tsume tsuzure
technique, a kind of tsuzure weaving technique.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed.
It has special kind of comfortable and soft touch of Tsume tsuzure
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
It is sewn as matsuba-shitate, and belt part is folded tightly.
As the figure shown, it has some small flaws such as stains and snags other than folding lines.
The folding lines are very slight and any of those flaws won't be disturbing for wearing.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Depending on a kimono you wear with, it can be both formal and casual wear.
Please enjoy this graceful piece on your fashion!
