This is an auspicious antique fukusa with classical motif of Kaioke
(hexagonal containers to store clam shells, which are used ancient shell matching game- 'kaiawase') patter, which is embroidered.
It has auspicious 'shou-chiku-bai' (auspicious three motifs-pine tree, bamboo and ume blossom) design inside kaioke.
Textile is shusu silk on the outer material, and its lining is chirimen (crepe) silk.
It has some flaws such as loose threads on the embroidered parts. (A)
