This is an antique cotton harakake with 'ariso' (fish over waves) design, which is dyed with Tsutsugaki
Its fish motif is dyed with Indian ink, and show tasteful atmosphere.
Textile is rather thick, and has very soft and comfortable touch.
It seems to be hand spun and hand woven in the early Meiji Period(1868-1912).
